Pranjali Deshpande

Pranjali Deshpande-Agashe is an architect and urban planner who is working in the field of sustainable transportation. She has worked on various sustainable transport initiatives in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and Nashik. She played an important role on operational planning for ‘Pune Bus Day’- an event to promote public transport. She provided technical support for ‘Rainbow’ system- a bus rapid transit system in Pune- Pimpri-Chinchwad which operationalized in 2015 and so far getting appreciation from its users. She has also worked on Street design manual for Indian cities published by ITDP. She has conducted training sessions on BRTS and sustainable transportation for Government officials organised by Yashada and CIRT. She also teaches ‘Sustainable Transportation’ subject at PVP college of Architecture. Currently she manages Maharashtra Program of Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP)
